Goalkeeper Iker Casillas has returned to the Real Madrid CF squad 72 days after breaking his left thumb during a Copa del Rey encounter against Valencia CF.

"We are happy to have Iker back with us as we are now entering into two decisive months," said assistant coach Aitor Karanka. "Tomorrow [against Levante UD] he will not play but in the future, who knows? Having every player available during these moments when everything is set to be decided is important," added the former Madrid defender.
